You really do need a good supplier if you want your business to be a success. You don't want to be spending time chasing your wholesaler. You want them to be looking after you. Here are 5 tips on how you can check and see if they are good.
1. Response Time Send them an email or message before you order goods.
Do they respond in a timley manner? If not - if they take a few days then it is likely their service department cannot handle the queries.
2. Website Do they have a professional website? Does it have contact details and do these details match the local phone directory. Last thing you want is a scammer - so check.
3. Type of Response When you contact them - are they friendly? Do they respond professionally? If you ask lots of questions - do they start to get annoyed or keep answering them?
If they are professional about it it is a good sign they are the real deal.
4. Product Range Do they have a huge product range? The last thing you want is 50 suppliers. You will have to keep up with all of them. This can be a nightmare.
If you can find 1 supplier that delivers a broad range of goods, you then have a large choice of products to sell.
5. Refunds and Exchanges Lastly, refunds and exchanges. What are their policies on these things? Find out before you sign up so you can protect yourself from being scammed or having to deal with goods that are not suitable for sale.
Good Luck !
