If the Olympics hadn't caused enough problems of exporters, wholesale dropshippers and anybody else sourcing from China then this definitely will. The country is shutting down for a week. It's the National Day Holiday Break and anybody looking to get anything to them from China next week had better get their order in by Friday, September 26th.
At the start of October China is going to take a week off to celebrate the founding of the People's Republic of China, Also known as National Day, on the 1st of October in 1949. You'd have to say that the 2008 National Day holiday couldn't have come at a better time with the entire country having just hosted the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the 2008 Paralympic Games. As a result there's many people looking for a long break.
So, from October 1 to October 5 (and in some cases September 29 to October 5) the whole country will shut down and people will go on holiday and go back to see their family.
ECVV Chinese members also will go on holiday from Wednesday October 1 to Sunday October 5th. Anybody wanting to get their orders processed before the break would probably need to do so by Friday, September 26th to make sure that you or your customers get the items in time.
Interested on when all the troublesome golden holidays fall? Here’s a chart that should explain it all. For February and October get goods ahead of time but in May things should be fine.
Thanks.
