From Design to Manufacturing
Hi,
I"m a beginner at int"l trade. I"m trying to get a new product manufactured. I have received bids on creating the design, but I don"t have any leads on who can manufacture the product for me.
My concerns are:
1) I will get designs done and they won"t be sufficient to manufacture the product. How do I know that the design is up to industry standards?

2) I won"t be able to locate a manufacturer that can implement my design. Its not a complex item. few parts and simple shapes.

This is a road block for my project.

Replying to [Hotbuy]: Is your product a concept or have you physically had an engineering service make a prototype? Any company that prototypes a product will help you develop it according to marketing standards. They will also inform you as to the standards that it must comply with. CE, FCC, UL, MIL, ect... So not until you have a prototype in hand or have signed a contract with contract manufacturer that also has design capabilities can you proceed.
