While most places in India are flooded with “Made in China” products, one country that is scared of mass-influx of Chinese goods is India. India has a large home grown manufacturing sector and lately some Chinese products are making inroads. You can see Indian goods fighting a loosing battle against Chinese goods in the street markets overseas . Some manufacturers in India are becoming importers similar to what happend in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
China lags behind in critical aspects, such as reform that would permit more foreign investment and domestic private entry in the financial sector. Still they are emerging as a winner. Its time for us to look into our reforms and policies and act.
